Hey there, beautiful souls!
Today, I want to share a little something special with you all. It’s a poem that I wrote for someone who means the world to me — my amazing boyfriend, Ryan who everyone calls Haze.
It’s an heartfelt story of our love, a story of resilience and unwavering commitment. Our journey began in 2012, but due to personal struggles I was facing at the time, we decided to part ways in 2013.
It was a difficult decision, driven by my own fears and the desire to protect myself from the repercussions of a previous relationship. Little did I know that this separation would only strengthen our bond.
Despite our physical distance, Ryan’s love for me remained steadfast, and we nurtured a deep and meaningful friendship.
Even when he found himself in the company of other women, I always respected their relationships and maintained a sense of integrity. Ryan faced his own set of challenges during this time, but our connection was unbreakable.
To expound on his challenges, Ryan, is currently incarcerated for vehicular manslaughter. Life has a funny way of throwing unexpected curve balls at us. One moment, everything seems to be going perfectly, and the next, our world is turned upside down.
That’s exactly what happened to us. It was a tragic accident that changed the course of our lives forever, but it didn’t change the way I feel about Ryan.
Now, let’s be clear I’m not a professional poet by any means, but when it comes to expressing my love and admiration for Ryan, words seem to flow effortlessly. I’ am however, definitely an emerging poet and journalist. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree, studying Journalism & Media Communication at Los Angeles Film School. I previously attended New School of Radio and Television.
I have more than 7 years of professional experience working in news stations, and digital and print organization.
You see, Ryan is not just my partner; he’s my rock, my confidant, and my biggest supporter. He’s always been there for me, especially when life throws its challenges our way. So, I wanted to capture that unwavering strength and resilience in this poem.
Defying the World; Embracing Each Other:
“I love you, even if the world turns against you,
Just as I loved you when the city was on your back.
Through thick and thin, my love will remain,
In your darkest hour, I’ll still be the same.
No matter the storms or the battles we face,
My love for you will never be erased.
When others doubt and try to bring us down,
I’ll stand by your side, wearing love like a crown.
In the face of adversity, we’ll stay defeated
overcoming every obstacle, demonstrating them deleted.
For our love is pure, unwavering and true, A bond that nothing can ever undo.
So even if the church turns its back, I’ll hold your hand, never losing track.
Together we’ll conquer, side by side, In your love, my heart will forever reside.
Through the highs and lows, we’ll rise above,
United in a love that’s bound by love.
No matter what challenges may come our way,
I’ll love you fiercely, every single day fear not,
my love, for you I’ll stand,
With you, I’ll face whatever life demands.
For in your arms, I’ve found my home,
No matter where we go or where we roam.
I love you, my dear, with all that I am, In your embrace,
I’ve found my truest jam.
No matter the world, no matter the strife,

These words may seem simple, but they hold so much meaning for us. In a world that can sometimes be harsh and unforgiving, Ryan and I have chosen to stand tall and face whatever comes our way together. We’ve learned that it’s not about avoiding challenges, but rather about embracing them and growing stronger as a couple.
Our love is an unbreakable force that binds us together. We are inseparable, united by a bond that surpasses any obstacle that comes our way. Our relationship is built on a foundation of trust, loyalty, and unwavering support. We cherish each other unconditionally, knowing that our love is irreplaceable.
The Present
Now, in the present, Ryan holds my heart and I am committed to him for life. I vow to never leave his side again. He is not just a part of my world; he is my world. My love for him knows no bounds and is not dependent on his love for me. I was willing to wait for him for as long as it took, even if it meant waiting for twenty years. The moment he won his appeal, relief washed over me, knowing that our love would continue to thrive.
